Alexander Henry 'home sewing is easy; part 2 Hawaii' from 2013 is part of the DeLeon Design Group Collection.
I love retro comic prints, and this one is a gem. The colors, clothing, hair styles, artwork and graphics are true 50's style comics book. The complete story, told in a 24" long (44" wide) panel is an epic tale of love, clothing, travel to exotic places (Hawaii in this case), illicit affairs, triumph of true love, and tragic loss. A story which lacks nothing. The colors are brilliant. The bubbles of text are easy to read and narrate the story perfectly.
This fabric has a lot of possible uses. The black outlined boxes in which the story unfolds, can be cut out and used in quilts or as accent pieces. This would make a fantastic bag, skirt, blouse, Hawaiian style shirt, a great tote or purse, pillows, computer covers, table runners or place matts with matching napkins. Your imagination will come to life with this outstanding, intriguing fabric.
The fabric is 100% cotton. 44" wide, continuous length, cut by panel, to order.
